UNDERSTAND MANGAL
Mangal is a font. Unicode is the text standard.
Many Word users call readable Hindi “Mangal text” because Mangal is a common Windows Devanagari font. The stored characters are normally standard Unicode, so the same Hindi can also appear in another Unicode font.
Mangal changes appearance
Selecting Mangal tells Word how Unicode Devanagari should look. It does not create a separate Mangal encoding.
Unicode keeps real Hindi letters
Copying Mangal text to a browser or phone should normally keep it readable as हिन्दी.
Kruti Dev changes the stored codes
A real converter is needed because simply selecting Kruti Dev in Word does not correctly remap Unicode letters.

Modern Word file
DOCX import extracts plain paragraphs. It does not preserve page design, tables, images, headers or styles.
Scanned document
A screenshot or scanned PDF needs OCR before text conversion. Importing the image itself will not produce reliable Hindi.
Do not convert by changing the font menu alone. Switching Mangal to Kruti Dev changes glyph appearance but does not perform the required character mapping.

Word formatting disappeared
The converter works with text, not complete document design. Apply formatting again after placing the output in your destination file.
One paragraph converts differently

How do I identify Mangal Hindi?

Can I import the complete DOCX?

Kruti Dev stores Hindi through Latin character positions. Apply Kruti Dev 010 in Word to display the intended Hindi glyphs.

Protect the document before changing its text.
Make a copy before conversion
Keep the original Mangal DOCX untouched and create a clearly named Kruti Dev version. Font conversion changes stored characters, so the converted file should not replace the only readable Unicode copy.
If the document contains tables or carefully designed pages, copy converted text back into a duplicate of the original layout. The converter extracts and produces text; Microsoft Word remains the correct place to manage margins, tables, page numbers and print styling.
Check font scope inside Word
Select only the converted Hindi and apply Kruti Dev 010. Do not apply it to English email addresses, website links or normal Latin text. Legacy codes and real English share many of the same stored characters, making mixed content difficult to distinguish automatically.
Compare before submission
Read the source and result side by side. Check person names, locations, amounts, dates, reference numbers, छोटी इ की मात्रा, reph and joined letters. Print preview is also important because changing to a legacy font can alter line wrapping and page breaks.
