EVALUATION BLUEPRINT

How Your 20 Marks Are Calculated

The Bombay High Court evaluates Marathi typing on a strict 20-marks scale with deduction criteria.

1. Net Speed Calculation

Net Speed = (Gross Words Typed - (Total Errors × Penalty)) ÷ 10 Minutes. You must achieve at least 30 Net WPM.

2. Full vs Half Mistakes

Every omitted or substituted word carries a 1.0 mark penalty. Matra, kana, velanti, and punctuation errors carry a 0.5 mark deduction.

3. Sequential Qualification

Candidates must score at least 10/20 marks in Marathi typing. Only qualified candidates proceed to the English typing evaluation.

HAVE QUESTIONS?

Marathi Court Typing FAQs

Which keyboard layout is used in the official Bombay High Court Marathi exam?

Bombay High Court allows candidates to type using Remington GAIL layout or InScript layout in Mangal (Unicode) font. Our tool includes built-in auto-converters for both layouts.

Do I need to install a Marathi font or typing software on my PC?

No! Our platform features an in-browser Remington GAIL and InScript conversion engine. Simply select your preferred layout above, and typing on your standard QWERTY keyboard will instantly produce authentic Marathi Unicode characters.

Why is Backspace locked in Exam Mode?

In the official exam hall, the software restricts Backspace. Practicing without Backspace trains candidates to avoid keystroke mistakes and build steady rhythm.
