Unicode gives every Devanagari character a standard code. Kruti Dev 010 is a legacy font system that uses Latin character positions to show Hindi shapes. Conversion changes the encoding; it is not translation or phonetic typing.

A font for Unicode Hindi
Text displayed with Mangal is normally Unicode. Changing Mangal to another Unicode font does not change the stored letters.

A scan needs OCR. Even a digital PDF can copy characters in a different order. Use the original Word file when possible.
A matra or name is different

Is Mangal text the same as Unicode Hindi?
Mangal is a Windows font used to display Unicode Devanagari. If copied Hindi remains readable on a website or phone, it is normally Unicode and can be used in this converter.
Why does the Kruti Dev output look like English letters?
Kruti Dev uses Latin character positions to show Hindi glyphs. The encoded output looks like letters and symbols until Kruti Dev 010 is applied in compatible software.
Do I need Kruti Dev 010 installed?
No installation is needed to convert or use the readable check. You generally need Kruti Dev 010 installed when you want the legacy output to display as Hindi in Word or DTP software.
Can I import a Word document?
