Kruti Dev uses ordinary Latin keys. Convert known Hindi sections separately and add genuine English content back afterward.
The source is a scan
A scanned page contains an image. It needs accurate Hindi OCR before the resulting text can be converted.
Some symbols remain unusual
The document may use a custom Kruti Dev variation, another legacy font or damaged copied text. Recheck the original font.
Word layout changed
Unicode font widths differ from legacy glyph widths. Review line wrapping, tables and page breaks after applying Mangal.

Does the converter create real Mangal text?
It creates standard Unicode Hindi. Mangal is a Unicode Devanagari font, so you can select Mangal in Microsoft Word to display the result.
Can I simply change Kruti Dev to Mangal in Word?
No. The two systems store text differently. Convert the Kruti Dev characters first and then apply Mangal to the Unicode output.
Does this work with Kruti Dev 010 and 011?

Why was an English URL converted?

Identify before processing
Check that the selected Hindi really uses Kruti Dev 010 or 011. A document may contain Kruti Dev, DevLys, Unicode Mangal and English in different paragraphs. Similar visual appearance does not prove that the stored mappings are the same.
Test a short known sentence first. Compare it with the original while the source font is active. If simple words are already wrong, identify the encoding again instead of processing the full document.
Separate mixed content
Convert known Hindi sections independently. Real English words, URLs and email addresses contain the same Latin characters used as Kruti Dev codes, so they can turn into Hindi if included in the legacy input. Add those parts back after conversion.
Format only after checking the text
First verify names, numbers, dates, matras, reph, conjuncts and punctuation. Then apply Mangal and rebuild the Word layout. Unicode font widths may change line breaks, table height and page count even when every word is correct.
