TYPING EXAM ELIGIBILITY CHECKER
Compare your current speed with common SSC, RRB NTPC and CPCT typing standards. See your speed gap and get a simple practice target.
YOUR PRACTICE CHECK
This checker compares typing speed only. It does not check age, education, category, post or document rules.
Use the same language and time mentioned in your exam notice.
HOW IT WORKS
The checker uses the selected typing-speed reference and your recent practice score. Accuracy and repeat results help create safer practice advice.
Select SSC, RRB NTPC, CPCT or enter a target from another official notice.
Use speed after error deductions. Gross speed alone can give a false sense of readiness.
See whether the reference speed is met, how much is missing and what to practise next.
REFERENCE STANDARDS
These typing-speed references were checked against official documents in September 2026. The latest notice for your exact exam, year and post remains final.

UNDERSTAND YOUR RESULT
Speed is only one part of a typing test. Use net speed, accuracy and repeated full tests together when planning practice.
Gross WPM shows how fast you typed before mistakes. Net WPM reduces the result for errors. If your score report gives net WPM, use that number here.
A fast result with many mistakes may fall after official error rules are applied. This checker uses accuracy only for practice advice because error rules can differ.
BUILD A SAFETY MARGIN
Exam pressure, an unfamiliar keyboard and a difficult passage can lower your normal speed. A practice target around 10% above the reference gives you more room.
Short tests can show a higher speed. Practise for the full time mentioned in the notice.
Try to meet the target in at least three of your last five full-length tests.
Slow down slightly if mistakes rise. Clean typing is easier to improve than rushed typing.
Use the required language, keyboard layout, font and backspace rule during practice.
COMMON QUESTIONS
No. It checks your typing-speed readiness only. Age, education, category, post, documents, exemptions and other rules must be checked in the official notice.
Enter net WPM after mistakes. If your practice site shows only one WPM result, check how that site calculates errors before using it here.
The SSC CHSL 2025 notice lists 35 WPM for English and 30 WPM for Hindi for the LDC/JSA typing test. Check the latest notice before your exam.
Official RRB material lists 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi for the computer-based typing skill test. Rules can change with a new CEN.
The CPCT rulebook lists 30 NWPM for English and 20 NWPM for Hindi Unicode as the minimum typing-module references for a 50% score.
The minimum is the line you must reach. A practice target about 10% higher gives room for exam stress, a new keyboard or a harder passage. It is advice, not an official rule.
Yes. Select Custom official notice and enter the required net WPM printed in that exam's latest notice.
