Remington CBI FAQs
Is Remington CBI phonetic typing?
No. Every physical key follows a fixed Remington CBI position. English spelling is not converted into Hindi words.
How is CBI different from GAIL?
The main practice difference is the short-i matra. In CBI, type the consonant first and then press the short-i key.
Can I add my own Hindi paragraph?
Yes. Select My Paragraph, add Unicode Hindi text, choose a timer and type it with fixed Remington CBI key positions.
How is Remington CBI typing speed calculated?
Correct typed characters are divided by five to estimate words, and the typing time is used to calculate words per minute.
Do I need to install a Hindi font?
No. Mangal is used when available, with clear Unicode Devanagari fallback fonts for other devices.
Can I see the Remington CBI keyboard?
